Four National Guard troops retreated when confronted by armed border crossers from Mexico. The government gave them MEDALS for DOING WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO DO! In other words, don't stop the border agents and you'll get a medal, but try to apprehend the illegals and you'll go to jail.

Why does the federal government refuse to accept its responsibility to enforce immigration laws and border security?
Just how sloppy is America's immigration system? Well, an illegal alien worked in two White Houses. Shown in center is Salvador Martinez-Gonzalez with Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife Lynn. Everyone who comes into close contact with the President in the White House is supposed to be checked over by the Secret Service. As columnist Mark Steyn noted, CNN's Candy Crowley had to undergo a six-month background check in order to get her White House press pass. In a time of war and terrorism, the idea that an illegal alien is moving freely among the nation's leaders is unsettling, to say the least. Martinez-Gonzalez was indicted in January 2003 on charges of illegal re-entry into the United States and possession of false documents. ...leaders are teaching Mexican Nationals how to cross into the US and stay there by requesting a court hearing, a tactic sure to clog the court system with possibly thousands of illegal aliens who want their day in court. Apparently, the Mexican town doesn't want illegal immigrants who are again legal once they go back to Mexico!
